One of my projects for CheckOut was developing a content area built in Flash and updated
daily using Generator known as the "Promotron". You can see today's Promotrons to the left - go ahead, check the source ;) The Promotron allows producers to create daily content by pulling from a set of artist generated assets. An HTML interface translates into a text file that tells Macromedia's Generator which elements to pull from the database and use to build a Flash and GIF file for the finished page. You can also view the original Jumbotron which was retired on March 23, 2000. |
